Job Overview:

The position of the Learning and Development Specialist – Independent Travel Advisor at Onvigo will play a key role in developing a culture of ongoing learning and professional development for our Independent Travel Advisors (ITA). Reporting to the Manager – Learning and Development, you will be responsible in creating and implementing training programs that support the goals and objectives of the program which will enhance the learning experience for our ITAs. The ideal candidate for this position thrives in a fast-paced environment, is creative in discovering new learning principles to enhance the ITAs experience and can balance the needs of ITAs and the executive team.


  • Minimum of 3 years of Training and Development experience in a structured virtual training, F2F, Hybrid, environment facilitating and coordinating training courses.
  • Travel Industry experience in conducting training sessions for travel advisors is preferred
  • Knowledge and experience in LMS Administration is an asset
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and Document Management Software
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and comfortable working with new technologies
  • Knowledgeable in training and development best practices and adult learning principles
  • Proven experience with coordinating and tracking organizational training through a Learning
  • Management System and creating reports using learning analytical tools
  • Experienced in using virtual meeting platforms such as Teams, Zoom, etc
  • TICO accredited
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Independent self starter with the ability to collaborate well with others
  • Thrives in a KPI driven environment
  • Ability to build trust and work through conflict
